AI Objectives Institute

The AI Objectives Institute is a nonprofit research lab of leading builders and researchers. We create tools and projects to ensure that AI and economic systems of the future are built with genuine human objectives. Our aim is to avoid large-scale economic, institutional and environmental catastrophes from misaligned systems while improving human flourishing.

Founded by the late internet security pioneer Dr Peter Eckersley, the organization collaborates with and employs working groups of academics, scientists, economists, entrepreneurs, and government and civil society advisors. The results are open-source prototypes, products, and research – all of which explore solutions to keep human objectives central to how AI impacts society - at individual, collective and systemic levels.
